The Pre Sales Consultant provides technical expertise in support of pre-sales activities. He/she combines technical acumen with business mentality. He/she enables sales and assists in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions. Technical emphasis is on security and systems integration.
He/she works directly with an outstanding sales team from initial discovery to deal close to shorten sales cycles and improve closing rate: develop and implement specific account penetration strategies, produce account specific product and service and sales plans, execute technical sales calls, configure and document software and service solutions to meet customer and sales objectives and complete required presales documentation quickly and accurately.
The Pre Sales Consultant qualifies sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding. He/she establishes relationships with the account team, partners and customers in support of sales team objectives and engages and leverages corporate resources, abilities, budgets and personnel as appropriate.
The ideal candidate has several years experience in software pre-sales or related value-based influential technical-selling expertise in very large enterprise environments.
He/she has preferably a security background. He/she is able to translate business needs into technical solutions and knows how to successfully present and demonstrate the solution to the customer.
The candidate is a confident and strong communicator, a good listener with influencing skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done.
